MY JOURNEY WITH PETS (part 2)
The heartbreaking and tragic incident of Bruno crossing the Rainbow Bridge was overwhelmingly burdening for us because not only was he the first pet that my father and I had tamed but also we became inseparable (especially my father) during the difficult months of the first wave the pandemic.
Seeing that we had the potential to eventually disintegrate as a family, my parents made a bewildering decision of welcoming another furry friend into the family. However, this time we considered getting a dog instead of getting a rabbit or a fish for they had a comparatively better lifespan. We had multiple options to choose from including multiple dog breeds ranging from Labrador to Beagle just to name a few. However, every dog breed that we investigated about had their own drawbacks which restrained them from being the healthy furbaby that our family desparately was in need of at that point of time.
I’m forever thankful to my maternal uncle and aunt who although were staying in Lucknow at that point of time, were however empathetic enough to critically assess the graveness of the traumatic phase that we were going through and decided to help. They empathised with and comforted us in the most life-changing manner.
As our family, their contribution at that time proved to be completely life altering for us. This is because every individual whom we shared our grief with, suggested us to act as swiftly as possible to fill in the hollow void that Bruno left in our lives. If I were to be brutally veracious about the course of events that were taking place in our lives, calling it mythically eutopic would probably be considered as an understatment. The reasonable explaination to this would unveil as you continue to read through the third part.
For those of my readers who are wondering that how did they even contribute in alleviating our pain when they seemed to have no connection with this incident, I’d suggest you to stick around as the narrative is about to take an intriguing turn.
